I started a whole thread trying to track this so I can make a case with MINI USA that they need to look into this a little better..

We haven't had any issues but it's also pretty warm here even at night.

What I have noticed is a trend from complaints from some Saab owner's who live up further north- While there daytime temps are similiar at night it gets A LOT colder. Most of the complaints are weak idle issues first thing in the morning. It seems once the engine warms up it's pretty much gone and it remains gone for the day if I recall correctly.

Car takes a little more cranking to start when cold in the morning. No biggie in my book.

DME?.. Thanks.. yeah we're all having the same exact issues up here.. bad idle until the car gets going and then it's ok.. I've also noticed, per ASK MINIs recommendation, that my car has been running a helluva a lot better (again, once I get going) on lower octane gas.. 87 seems best up here.. if it ever gets "hot" up here (New Hampshire), I'll go up to 89..
