Xenon out - must replace both?

One of my Xenons is out and I have read that it is recommended to replace both to color match. I am wondering if I pick up a single $99 4300 if anyone knows if it will be noticeably a different color or not, as I would rather just get one and save the money.

I would save your money, even if there were a slight color difference, after some time the new bulb should get closer to the old bulb.

if you did have the factory warranty, would they be covered under warranty? And I thought that the actual bulbs should outlast the car? Is it the ballast that failed? and $99 sounds pretty cheap for xenons, maybe just get two and save the one on the car incase another one blows?

Sometimes the color hue is off depending on how many hours the bulb has been in service. I would take a chance. for $99

My car is no longer under warranty. The bulbs are supposed to last for around 5 years and you can see that it is the bulb, not the balast or anything.

I think it will be fine so I just ordered one Xetronicbrand bulb from xtralights.com, they were cheapest there after shipping ($109 and next day air shipping via fedex was less than $20). They were only $10 cheaper to buy the pair, so if it too noticeable I will just order another (so its only a $30 gamble). I will report back once received how the color matches etc.

The bulbs take a little while to settle into their normal color. I had one of mine replaced and it took a couple of weeks for it to match the other one again.

My driver side xenon is not coming on now...Grrrrr.... I thought xenons were supposed to last forever!? Is it most likely the xenon bulb is out or an electrical problem? BTW, my high beams still work just fine?

I had to have one xenon bulb replaced due to an encounter with a deer. I do notice a slight color difference when first turning on the lights, but no difference once they both reach full temperature. I definitely would not buy a second bulb.
