Artoo passes 50,000 miles this weekend...

and as the warranty lapses I am going to change the wires and plugs. It seems the Denso IK20s are the way to go with plugs but I am a bit confused about the wires. (I'll also be installing braided brake lines and changing fluid but there I am not confused).

I am looking at the Magnecor's but can't tell if I want the 8 or 8.5mm wires. Artoo is completely stock with the exception of a K&N panel filter in the stock air box. Also I prefer if the wires were black as I am not looking for bling and Artoo is black on black.

So. If you have an wisdom for me I am all ears. And I searched a couple of vendors websites and can't find the Denso's and Magnecor's in one place.

Thanks in advance.

Rich

Why do the IK20s? Do you have a supercharger reduction pulley or stock pulley?

Artoo is stock. I thought the IK22s were for pulleyed engines.

Yes, you are correct. IK22s and IK24s are colder plugs usually used with pullied cars.
