got a funny noise myself...

....between 1st and 2nd gears i get a (i want to say lilttle grind but, its not a grind) scrape noise. its only between 1st and 2nd and its pretty consistent. i only really notice it at lower rpms but, i have heard it once or twice at higher revs.

anyone ever have that problem? if so, what was it and what was the therapy?

thanx.

I get the 'clank' every now and again from 1st to 2nd, but I wouldn't call it a 'scrape'.

i guess it could be described as a clank. in fact, thats a better description of what the sound is. im just hoping that thats a normal thing. i have never had a car make so many noises.

I stood back and took a long hard look at it before I put the 'COOPER' back on (I didn't take the 'S' off when I installed my boot stripes)...

I ended up thinking the chrome 'COOPER' really popped against the black stripe.

Plus, I'm a proud MINI owner (not that someone who debadges isn't!), and wanted to keep it there.

Now, my wife just got a new '06 Impala SS, and GM went and put a dinner plate sized Chevy emblem in the center of the boot, oops...trunk on this one. Her car is black on black and it looked ridiculous so that one did come off - but again, I left the IMPALA in the lower left corner and the SS in the lower right.

To each his own!
