Just leave the hood down and spend the money on some go fast goodies.

Yeah!!!! The faster you go, the better! Of course, you'll want to obey your traffic laws

If you're really sold on the CF IC cover... there are a few places that have it. Helix is a great bunch of guys.

yeah yeah. i have plenty of time and money to buy go fast things. i have another car tht is more for the go fast. i still want more power from the mini but ill spend my money at will on what i feel like getting at the time. i may change my mind later on and get a larger intercooler but as for right now its not playing a factor in my savings.
thanks for the imput though but what i wanted to know was mailny about the cover. thanks again for the imput.

Yeh, it looks sweet but may reduce the flow of air into the IC since there is so much CF covering the IC vanes. The whole idea is to use the IC as a heat exchanger, so exposing lots of it to thermally efficient transfer is preferred. So the Alta beats this hands down--and it's cheaper.

What are you talking about? This CF is identical to a stock cover!

that CF cover is identical, so it wouldnt restrict any flow.

i believe the alta would be the way to go though.

I didn't say the stock IC cover *didn't* block air flow to the IC either. The real solution is the Alta, and it's much cheaper than the CF one. That's what I said, or didn't say.
