The oil wasn't caught by the bottom of the Intake box? I've seen an oily residue there on mine before.

over abundance... couldn't contain the oil on the bottom of the intake box, that's how much Alta over "dipped" the air filter. there was a huge puddle and traces of oil that dripped down between the factory inlet hose (resonator?) and the box.

it is quite rediculous. :impatient

Alta's tech replied that they claim to put a red flyer inside their
package to use a towel to wipe the foam filter before installation so it was
my fault that i didn't follow this.

i know that i did not get a red flyer in the box with this warning!
WTF. they can't coat the filter correctly during manufacturing and doesn't
have the quality control for packaging either... then they blame it on the
customer unbelievable. if it's such a big deal to wipe this crap before install,
why is it not posted as WARNING! on the box and at their site?

And this is the 2nd time having problems with Alta products for both the
parts im using from them. well, this is the last product i would buy from
them, sadly. their customer support and quality control sucks.
