Sand and Gravel in the IC

Went on an awesome MINI run this weekend which included some not so savory roads with lots of gravel and sand left over from recent slippery conditions. I've got a bit of it on the IC, how should I remove it?

I thought: Brush, vacuum, pick 'em all out.

What happens to the little bitty pieces of sand that inexorably get caught IN our ICs?

Thanks for your creative ideas.

mb

dirt / sand

I do vacuum mine with the shop vac.

I did get dome mystyr c**p in there once and it bugged (hay maybe bugs ... ...) me so much I took it off ad used compressed air to blow it back out.

I won't do anything that will bend the veins.

good luck

Hey mb,
The run was good except for the weather and of course the sand and gravel. I have a piece of window screen sandwiched between the IC and the plastic cover. Works great for keeping stuff out of the IC.
This pic must have been before I put it on, but you can see the one in front that covers the radiator, condenser, and air intake.
