Relocation of Alta Oil Catch Can...advise needed....

[FONT=Helv][SIZE=2]Hi all,

I am driving a 2004 production Mini Cooper S,
I have the Alta Oil Catch Can fitted near to the left closure of the bonnet(See below pic)

As I am going to install an engine damper at that location, can anyone advise where else can I have the Alta OCC fitted?
If possible can you show some pics and does aftermarket bracket need to fit elsewhere?
Thank you in advance for any advise.
Cheers

That is where I have mine so I do not know...... many people put them up in the space on thecowl left side as you are looking from the front hood open.......the reason I am posting hre is I hope you post your impressions of the damper when you get it in.

Thank you all for the inputs...

Hi Cycleguru,

Can you advise how did you mount the M7 Oil catch can at that location, did you use fabricate a bracket?

Cheers

Hi, I used the bracket that Peter sent with his awesome catch-can. Luckily i had a 90% angle drill to drill my holes in the firewall.(tight space)

How much is this damper and why not go for some better engine mount bushings?

Hi Scottinbend,

You can see the cost of the damper at the following thread:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=57317

The reason I go for this rather than harder bushing is they are easily removable, if I do not like the tighter feel, its just a few bolts and nuts work unlike engine bushing which required much more work to change.
Another attraction about this engine damper, if you notice, it allows you to dial the tightness if I am not wrong, so I could adjust to the tightness that I like to suit my every day drive. I think I will know once i receive the item this week. WIll try to fit it as soon as o get it and post some views here..

Cheers
