lifting points

Sorry guys, this could have been asked before, but couldn't find any in search. I am not sure where to jack up the car front and rear. And where to place the jackstands. There seem to be 4 square looking hard plastic sticking out at positions where the jackstands usually go.

Is rhino ramp at better option? Thank you.

I read in another forum. SOmeone suggested to lift the front end up by using a floor jack (with big padded head) to lift a point at the front sub frame where there's a circular shape area. Is this information correct and safe for lifting the whole front? Thank you for your help.

If the circle works it will only get the front of your car off the ground.

If you don't have the fancy ultimategarage stands, jack the car where they show the stands going. Use a board to distribute the weight. Both wheels will come off the ground.

Put your stands under the square thingys that are designed to accept the Mini jack. Put one of the 'fingers' at the top of the stand into the hole of the thingy.

I don't 100% trust the stands in the thingys method, though I've used it many times w/o problems and know of other who have as well. I use ramps whenever possible. I don't jack the car too high with tihs method, and will raise each side in stages if I need extra height. YMMV, and use this info at your own risk. Always use jackstands.

I use this method as well. I usually have to go back and do it again to get more height as the car starts sliding on the jackstand if you lift too much on one side. Lifting the entire front or rear would definitely be preferable but that AC Hydraulics jack is over $400 and thats a lot of $$$ for a jack.
