My new 06' MCSa had the common EML light and check engine light problem with the mini loosing all power to the engine at only 130 miles on the ODO.
got it towed and fixed. Then the very next day 50 miles later the Trottle got stuck and the mini Accelerated even with the brakes press down hard, the Mini hopped a curb and hit a tree. $14,000.00 of repairs and couldn't total it out. 2 months later still waiting for my car.
I'm doing some reseach to see if this Acceleration problem is Common on the MCS's

Not a common problem You got one of the unlucky problems .

But then again my modded MCSa just blew a head gasket

 

Whoah I feel badly for both of you! I dont know if the throttle getting stuck is a common problem.

MDS you are the first person with a bad head gasket I have heard of!

 

I havent heard of anyones throttle getting stuck open. This is the first time i have heard of such a problem.

 

I had the EML and power faiulre problem on my 2005 MCSa which was fixed. Haven't had anything bad since. So sorry to hear about the throttle problem. That really sucks.
