Does any of you have any information about the 05 MSC factory manual which is one the guy at the mini serive use??

I'm also interested in any feedback about the new Haynes manual.

I purchased the BMW TIS (Technical Information Service) CD-ROM off Ebay for $10. I think this is what dealers use (in addition to other resources). It has lots of useful information although the user interface is awkward and clumsy, and difficult to search for what you want. I would guess that the many copies on Ebay are all bootleg.

The Bentley manual (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...l/-/0837610680) only covers up to 2004 but most of it is applicable to 2005. It is a large telephone book size manual with lots of information that seems mostly taken from the BMW TIS CD. I prefer the Bentley over the CD because it is easier to use.
