Has anyone had an issue with the drivers side door lock not working?
this is mine:

When I use the button on my key to lock or unlock the doors it only works for the passenger side and the boot. As well as the autolock feature. The driverside only works if I physically insert the key into the door lock an turn. When on the inside I have to press on the door pin/lock itself to lock it. Double pumping the door from the inside still gets me out. I have listened for the clicking noise unlocking/locking in the door and I don't hear one on the drivers side? Is there anything I can do to fix the problem? Or has anyone had the same problem and found the fix? This all started on Saturday. I think. Well, I just noticed it Saturday. Who knows how long it hasn't been working. At least no one else noticed. that would have been very unfortunate.

did you find a fix for your door issue? It sounds similar to mine.

 

...include being unable to open the drivers door from the outside. This happened very early in my MINI ownership (<5000 miles). It was so embarassing having to lower the window with the key fob and then reach my hand inside the car to open the door with the interior door latch. I took the car back to the dealer and they fixed the door under warranty. They said they took the door panel off and reattached a cable that had come loose.

The second door issue I had was being unable to unlock the drivers side door from the inside by double pumping the latch. This did not occur until much later (~40,000 miles). This was also fixed under warranty by the dealer. They didn't say what they did, they just fixed it.

I had the same exact problem. One dealer said my Viper alarm was interfering with the locking, which was bs. Another dealer replaced the locks, and the problem went away. Good luck!
