I just don't know what it costs, but it's probably not cheap!

You don't want to know. I did a search for the price on the BMW version about 6 months ago and could only come up with $9000-$10000.

when I saw that leasing options were available! But for shops, this might make sense....... And if they'd just do a Mini one, it should be less, because there are a whole lot less Minis!
BiM-COM could grow into this, but it's not there yet.....

I actually thought about it since there is nobody in the Fresno area, but it didn't do the MINI specifically at that time. It's a hardware/software solution with a MINI add-in so I wouldn't expect the price to be any different if it were MINI only. BiM-COM sounds nice, but will we die of old age by the time it gets here? I hope it is economical when it does arrive.

The latest from AutoLogic (as of today):
- Price is $10,500
- The MINI-specific functionality is a subset of the BMW diagnostic

Over 10k?
i think i just had my future goals set for me.
I am going to sell those dianostic equipments

what could be a reason for someone to do this?
i think if they really wants to find out all the details in the car, it will be easier to buy another one and trade in their mods and car.

i would use that money to find out a lot of more things could be really matter more in my life. maybe i just have high blood pressure

If Ross-Tech could come up with something that is even close to the Autologic product for maybe $1,000 I would buy it. I might even buy at a price point of $2,000 if it had enough functionality. $10,500 is just too much. If I had a bunch of BMWs, I might have a different perspective. But for now, it is just one MCSa; I would rather spend the $10,500 on mods.

I have VAG-COM now, and it's a great tool. Cheap as well ($100-$200 range). In fact if you have your own cable you can get a shareware version with limited functionality (ie, it will give you the codes, but not all of the descriptions of the codes).

If the development costs, and cable are in the same level of effort, I would suspect that his price will be fantastic.

I agree that it's too pricey for one...

But a larger club could chip in and buy one........

They could keep it at my house
