Low Tire Pressure

I have owned my 2004 MCS for a little over a month and within that time I have had the Tire Pressure warning come on several times; every Monday to be exact. Each time the light goes on I go to the gas station to check the pressure and refill where needed. Usually the tire is at 21 instead of 32. Now if it was the same tire every time I would think I need a new tire however it is NOT the same tire every time. I don’t know what the dealio is and to be quite honest it is irksome to always be thinking about my tire pressure. I am weary to take Lola for a long trip for fear she will be low on tire pressure and I will be stuck. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon?

Tires will loose pressure with time but, usually only 1-2 lbs. a month.
Considering each time you have a low tire, its not the same one as before, I must agree with kaelaria, someone is playing games with you.

Oddly enough I posed the same conclusion to my boyfriend and he looked at me like I was crazy Then I felt silly; thinking I was paranoid. Growing up in LA you come to be paranoid and realize anything is possible. I suppose I need to invest in surveillance equipment.

Could it be due to the heat?

No heat doesn't do that at all.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

Okay, I feel totally stupid; turns out I had a screw in my tire. No one, not even the mechanic, could see it until they took the tire off. How do I delete this EMBARRASSING post?

So how does this make any sense then?

It doesn't but miraculously the other tires are now staying inflated. However I have not been to the bf's house a lot and I think that is where the culprit lurks

Tire Pressure Loss

My tires lose a lot of pressure too. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's because I drive like a maniac. Add air every two weeks.

I believe I have found the reason for my constant low tire pressure in one tire at a time. This past weekend I put air in all tires then I took the valve cap from the tire with the lowest pressure and put it on a different tire. Sure enough yesterday my light came on again and it was on the tire I put the valve cap on. Could it be that as nifty as these tire pressure indicating valve caps are they are also allowing air to slowly leak out? This would explain why it is always a different tire that is low for me.

Oh yes. In fact at the MINI dealership here they've stopped using those pressure indicator caps for that very reason.

Go buy some shiny chrome caps or something else (cheap as they may get stolen) and toss the indicator caps in the trash.

Does no one think that the stiffer sidewalls of the runflats, make it harder to get a perfect 'seat' on the rims? I'd have a tire shop pull the wheels for a rotation and "suds" all the beads looking for a leak.
