Oil Change

I havne't been on inawhile I am getting ready to deploy here soon. My 04 is ready for her oil change. Do I have to take it to the dealer to have it done or can I do it myseelf. If I can do it myself what do yall recommend I use. Oil and filters wise. Also Lately my Service Engine soon light keeps coming on. I was wondering what could be causing that. Is it becuase My oil is ready to be changed.

Thanks,

Yeah if you have less than 36,000 miles on your car it is free.

Holy CR@P! What's the exchange rate like now? Isn't that close to $200 plus the price of oil?! Is that normal? If so, why would you NOT do it yourself?

It's pretty easy...

I'd go for Red Line oil, or some other racing oil. 10w30 or 5w30 is good. I just went wiht the the OEM filter..... It wasn't too expensive (~$8 at the local Mini place....)

Right. I was thinking Pounds Sterling. But I still can't imagine paying $100 PLUS the cost of oil for an oil change. WOW.
