How bad are these brake lines?

2007 R56 N12

Was putting on winter tires when I noticed the state of these front brake pipes. How urgently do these need to be replaced?

As long as they aren't leaking yet, you're good. Might want to spray them with some rust conversion coating and a layer or two of paint.

Hard to tell how deep the corrosion goes. I doubt you'll ever get that connection apart though; that pipe will break before the nut comes loose. Been there. I'd spray that area and the rest of the brake lines going to the rear of the car with a penetrating rust preventative like Wool Wax or Surface Shield so they last as long as possible. The brake lines tend to corrode near the plastic clips that secure them.

Thanks. I'll take a closer look and make sure there aren't any areas that look worse then I'll spray them with some rust prevention coating. Rears don't look as bad but aren't much better. If I can make these pipes last until spring that would be great.
