Blowoff Valves?

I know this is probably a stupid question but I am a newbie so humor me...My buddy has a WRX STI with blowoff valves and I love the sound, I know the WRX is turbo charged and the Mini is supercharged but is it possible to have blowoff valves for a Mini. Any answer would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I have gone round and round on this with a tech...it would cause no harm but hasn't been developed in that you would have to eliminate the resirc valve...which does a similar job but just doesn't vent to the atsmaphere...LOL...atsmaphere...sorry...so anyway...that's what I know...NEXT!!

SPI replaced his (Hubie) so he has 2 blowoff valves, one for s/c and one for turbo. Gas milage has gone down but throttle response is better

Of course the oblivious answer is yes. You can have a blow off valve and make that nifty sound. Just add a turbo to your Mini and make it a twincharged. Not only will you get the sound but you get the added benefit of over 250 HP.

To relieve pressure buildup when you go off throttle and prevent compressor surge. Basically the air has to go somewhere and if you go off throttle and close it, the air has nowhere to go so the blowoff valve is needed.
