Rear main seal leak?

I got a pretty bad leak, I thought the oil filter housing cracked, cause I replaced its gasket a year ago, but got a look at the bottom bolt for it and its not wet so I'm worried this leak is from the rear main seal. Heres some photos. It doesn't seem to leak much once the car cools down overnight sitting. Seems to leak quite a bit during start up and shut off. I got a little look at the front main seal area and thats wet too. This is a 2007 r56 S with 114k miles. Anyone know what it costs to replace the rear main seal? My spark plugs have been getting covered in oil from I believe worn valve seals so I'm thinking this may be the end of this car :(

My 07 N12 (justa) has the same rear main leak. Independent shop quoted $2200cad. Dealer quoted $3000cad. Have to pull subframe and transmission... Has your clutch been done? Ideally, it should be done at the same time. Most of the labor is the same for both jobs. Would suck to tear it apart twice. I think you can also do control arm bushings while the subframe is out.

Mine leaks most when the oil is warm. If the car sits for a few days it barely leaks but if I drive it regularly it drips pretty consistently.

How many miles does yours have? I have to add about a quart of oil per week, week and a half.

Roughly 160k km ( ~100k miles). Right now I figure I'm leaking about 1/2 a quart per week. Car tends to burn lots of oil on top of that.

Advisor at the dealer told me rear main leaks are very rare on this generation. Is your PCV working properly? I've been told that any additional pressure in the crankcase caused by a malfunctioning PCV may finds weak points in your seals.

sorry forgot to mention I dont think my clutch has been done. I was watching a guy on youtube with a 2012 bmw 128i with the n52 and 125k miles and a leaking rear main seal. He doesn't seem worried about it but pretty much scared me out of buying any bmw with 90k+ miles. heres the video:

I don't know if my pcv is working, as far as I know there isn't really a way to test. I think when it goes bad you do get a fault code which I don't have.
