My passenger side mirror angle adjustment motor always vibrates for a few seconds after I unfold the mirror electronically. This time I tried moving the mirror glass while the motor was still vibrating and I ended up burning the plug. The motors that unfold the mirror still worked fine (I am assuming that it is the black plug) after I burned the connector but the mirror adjustments stopped working. The only things off before the failure where the vibrating mirror motor every single time after they get unfolded and right before the failure when I was adjusting the mirrors it would not go up only left, right and down.
My question is what would cause this issue. I am assuming I need to replace the wiring, hoping its not too big of a RPITA. But I don't want to replace a bunch of things before knowing what caused the burning just for it to fail again. I am assuming it had something to do with the motor vibrating after opening the mirrors. Would this be from the switch itself or the window motor malfuntioning. What is the best course of action.
Additionally the 5A fuse for the mirror heating, and both the motors was slightly burnt but not blown (the folding still worked even after the failure).
