Missing Cover???? Not sure.

I was crawling under my 2013 S and noticed what I thought was a leak. Upon further inspection I saw a white plastic gear up in the hole and was wondering if I was missing a cover/plate on it. As you can tell I am clueless and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

That hole is normal. The gear you see in there is the flywheel / starter ring gear.
