Broken luggage compartment cover...

Newbie with 1 week old 2011 Clubman S (from Moritz Mini in Arlington TX). Accidentally removed the luggage cover and in so doing allowed the cover to wind itself completely and under the molded stops. Has anyone taken theirs apart? I did manage to force each end back to where it was suppose to be in the first place (on top as opposed to below the plastic ends) but now it's coiled so tightly there's no way to get it to come out like it is suppose to?

thanks for any suggestions and glad I found this forum.

First off, welcome to the boards. With regards to your issue, what exactly do you mean by "coiled tightly"?

thanks for the warm welcome...

when we took the cover off we did not make sure that we had placed the ends into position up above the plastic holders... instead the cover recoiled below the holders and this allowed for it to go extra distance to the point where we can not get it to loosen up at all... the cover is now coiled so tightly that it is impossible to get it to let go and be pulled into any different position. Right now, the cover is inoperable.

thanks.
