No crank no start
No crank no start
Hello, my 2013 Cooper s was running perfectly fine and I parked it for the night and when I came out the next morning it had a no crank no start issue. Battery was charged still. I seen I had a a a “intelligent battery sensor(ibs) wake-up line, level implausible” code and the CAS had a code for CAS; ENGINE START, starter operation. (A0B4). I push started the car and began driving and realized the alternator wasn’t charging anyways. I parked and read the ibs could cause a no start condition and since there was a code for it I replaced the IBS. Still no crank and if push started the alternator doesn’t charge still . I also throw the same codes as before but I noticed a get a CAS OUTPUT; terminal 50 and CAS OUTLUT; terminal 50r code now in the CAS.
I tested that the connector on the firewall is sending 12v to the solenoid to kick the starter on. And I tested the main power to the solenoid to ensure it’s getting 12v. Then I tested the other side of the solenoid when trying to crank the car it also seems to be getting power. This normally leads me to believe the starter may be bad but then I’m wondering how the alternator is being effected at the same time. I also am unsure what terminal 50 is either. But I’m assuming starter related.
