I just got my Mini this past week. I’ve been in the hunt for a couple years to find the right one and am so far quite pleased. I do have a few questions and am hoping that some of you that are more experienced can jump start my progress into sorting some things out. Thanks in advance.

1. The navigation screen has no power
2. The rear speakers do not seem to work and I don’t believe the amp is working either.
3. I hear a fan cycling on and off a lot, not sure if that’s normal.
4. The steering feels pretty heavy, maybe that’s normal.
5. P0136 and P0138 for O2 sensor #2. Is that a replace the O2 sensor or something else maybe causing that?
6. P1498 unmetered air after compressor. The intake boot has some large holes in it. I’ve ordered one to be here Sunday. Hoping it relates to this code but not sure.

 

The navigation screen having no power along with the rear speakers not working and the amp not working either raises the possibility of electrical problems. 'course, checking fuses is a reasonable action.

As for the O2 sensor related error codes, it is never good to read that there are intake leaks.

And there are other possible explanations for both codes.
