hi mate thanks for your reply what makes you think it’s power steering? The engine was overheating when it burst as well it’s probably worth a mention

Uh… because that’s how the power steering lines look? I don’t recall any coolant hoses having that heat shield or running in that location.

edit: I just noticed the video. It’s easier to see there. Definitely power steering.

I think you might just be seeing a cut in the heat shield over the line.

I see some fluid on top of the heat shield over the manifold. If you think that's coolant, did your reservoir possibly split?

yes coolant tank is empty, and liquid all over that part of engine bay so that’s what lead me to believe it’s a water pipe

I would be more suspicious of your reservoir or cap, I think, but you can check the two hoses that run to the reservoir, too. IIRC, they run over to the heater hoses on the R53. I assume that the fluid isn't PS fluid? I believe CHF-11S is green, FYI.

+1 @deepgrey = power steering hose in the OP's pic.
+1 = coolant expansion tank cap or leaking/split seam in the expansion tank.
+1 - coolant on the heat shield not ps fluid.... If indeed coolant leak - The coolant is brown/discolored and suggests rust in the coolant system. I would recommend a coolant flush, in addition to a new expansion tank if the tank is dark yellow or brown and or a new cap.
A blown/failed expansion tank will leave you calling a tow truck. Don't let that happen to you.

Just my opinion/experience/observation.
Ask me how I know

Is that a base model? If so, I would highly suspect the overflow cap had popped. That's what normally happens first when it overheats anyway. Makes a loud popping noise, and coolant goes everywhere, even up on the windshield. Yes, I've seen this happen.
