Basket case 2010 Mini Project: Central control module replacement issue

Hey all,

First, I have to say thank you to everyone here. This forum has been a goldmine of information while I have been working to get the basket case of a mini I picked up back in August for my daughters first car on the road. You'll likely be seeing a few threads from me as now I am on the last leg of just a few issues.

One (of the 4 pages) of codes it had was 93D7 - Central Control Module; Internal Error. Thanks to this site, I found that typically means that the airbag control module is shot. I have seen a few posts that say it has to be reprogrammed to your vehicle, and many, many, more that say they just picked up a used one off ebay and everything was fine and the airbag light went away.

I took a gamble and picked one up off ebay. I installed it tonight, and when I rescanned, I got two new codes and the airbag and seat belt lights remained on, but the Internal Error code was gone. The two new codes are:
  1. 30A9
  2. A3B3
From what I can tell, the first one means the fuel pump cutoff in case of a crash is disabled(?). The second is the roll stabilization malfunction(?). Is this because the module needs to be programmed to the car, or did I get a bad CCU?
