So I had my 2003 r50 mini cooper sitting for a few months then replaced the battery and now some not all of the lights on the dash light up. The lights that do not light up are the ones that you turn on with the dial on the turn signal. With that said the turn signals do still turn on outside they just don't turn on, on the dash. I took it to a BMW specialist and they can not figure out the issue. The only thing I can think of is it might have something to do with the turn signal stock as that is where the dial for turning on the dash lights are. I was just wondering if anyone has had the same issue?

 

Just saw this. Did you ever figure it out? Had a similar issue with the tachometer, all kinds of lights acting weird and the turn signals worked but did not indicate properly on the tach light. Also had an electrical drain; battery went dead after a week if I didn't drive the car. Replaced the tach with a "good used one" from Evilbay and everything cleared up.
