I was wondering something. When is the Side marker light supposed to come ON?
Mine only comes On with the Turn Signal or Flashers.
I assumed they would be like Running lights.
What should they do?

 

That's what it's supposed to do. You're fine. They are turn signals only.

 

The only real reason they are there in the first place is to meet European signaling standards. They have been required in europe to have sinde signal lights since the early 1980's.

Although not a requirement here in the US there are more and more US cars showing up with them.

 

all cars here should have them too... the DOT and ECE really need to sit down and develop a WORLD standard for automotive lighting... north america should not be different than the rest of the world *rant off!* :D

 

I completely agree with you. DRL's should be standard on all cars as well, especially with all the morons texting, chirping on the phone, doing nails, etc. while driving.
