Hi guys, it’s a bit of a long shot, I have a 2011 Cooper S r57 it came with the armrest in the boot on inspection there is some of the connection bracket missing does anyone know where I might get the missing bits or the whole bracket? I am not sure which bits are missing but I do not have the square back part with the screws in seen in the bracket close up picture. I have seen the complete armrests going on eBay for around £200 but I am not up to paying that much. Below are pictures of the armrest in question. Any help gratefully received. Thanks for looking. Les
FWIW: This is not the OEM armrest fitted by the factory or sold as an aftermarket accessory by MINI. Wishing you luck in finding individual parts for it.
OT:
I'm amazed the previous owner spent almost as much for this "chineseum" aftermarket armrest as the dealer price for the OEM armrest. Especially considering that this armrest takes up valuable leg space for rear passengers and does not integrate as well into the car as the OEM one (both in terms of look and finish).

Really?! The armrest in the pictures was the dealer installed Mini accessory arm rest. The factory installed arm rest was much better integrated, but the one in the pictures is still Mini official.
That being said, I don’t think any spare parts are available for that arm rest, other than the whole thing as a kit.
The only armrest available directly from BMW/MINI (both from factory and as an aftermarket accessory to be fitted by either the dealer or the customer) for the 2nd generation MINIs is this one: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=51_6289

Just because a version is available from China doesn't really mean anything. And, the one you linked from RealOEM is the "Factory" option arm rest.
This was an aftersales part offered by MINI as a Genuine MINI part.
Back in the day people would not option the armrest and this was a solution. I believe it started life as a Genuine MINI European part offered into USA aftersales.
If it states Genuine MINI on our site, thats what it is.

Thank you for taking the time to send me this information, I was quite sure that it was a genuine mini arm rest. I have seen it in a couple of other minis I thought that it was unlikely that several mini owners would all buy a quite basic arm rest when the other type available is far more integrated.
again thanks got your input

@LesM It may not help, but - Have you checked a salvage yard in your area?
Believe it or not I've actually seen 2 at a couple of my local Pull-A-Part yards last year (before I found out how scarce and $$ they were).
Unfortunately both armrests were completely twisted/destroyed by some novice junk hunter who didn't have the sense to unbolt it from the seat rail.
As you say - It maybe a long shot but...?
