Hello, I recently purchased the factory armrest for my 03 MINI. Everything went smoothly, adapter plate, console, etc., but I cant seem to be able to completely screw in the five scews that secure the actual armrest to the console part.

Am I incredibly weak? Are they supposed to be flush? Why cant I get them screwed all the way in?

Any advice is MUCH appreciated!!

Removing and installing / replacing centre armrest

Necessary preliminary tasks

Removerear storage compartment





Release screws (1) at sides
Release screws (2) and lift out centre armrest (3 )
Tightening torque 51 16 5AZ




Replacement:

Remove cover for centre armrest
Remove storage tray (1)
Release screw (2) and remove cover (3).
