Instructions to Remove rear bumper cover

Anyplace on this or some other site to learn how to do this on an 05MCSC? TIA Michael

Rear bumper removal is easy, is best done if you remove the wheel liners. It allows you to see the attachement points better. Just look for the screws holding it on. Also, with the whell wells out you may want to try spraying undercoating inside to help with road noise. I did this when I put on the cooper mudflaps and it really helped. The mudflaps helped with the rear dirt also.

Removing and installing rear bumper trim


The following work operation applies to all MINI variants

Remove both rear wheels
Remove rear left and right wheel arch flares
Remove reversing light


Remove screws (1) from cover for spare wheel recess (depending on equipment).
Remove threaded blind rivets (2) on both sides.




Remove screw (1) in opening for reversing light
Remove screws (2)




Disconnect PDC plug connectors (1) (depending equipment).
Disconnect plug connectors for side marker lamps (depending on equipment)
Remove bumper.
