Hi all, as the title suggests, my passenger cv boot is torn yet again. This is the third axle that I’ve put into the car, and I’d like to find a solution. If anyone has experienced something similar please pass on the wisdom.
The car is lowered on a set of race land coil overs, however the problem has been around since before the lowering.
Are you replacing the entire axle each time or just the boot?
I had the same issue many many years ago on an old VW I had at the time. I never got to the bottom of it.
In addition to Mrbean's question, where on the boot is it splitting? At or near the clamps or in the center bellows?

Yes, I’ve replaced the entire axle because, since I had realized far too late. It’s tearing right in the center of the bellows in a circular fashion. Almost appears as if the boot is rubbing on itself?
would love to get to the bottom of this.
I recall reading elsewhere that if the engine mounts are bad, this could also cause wear (or maybe I'm thinking of advice for another one of my vehicles).
