Oil leaking between my 2 piece block

Looks like I may have a leak between the upper an lower block joint. Cannot figure out how it could happen.
Has anyone else had this issue.
My mini is A 04 R50.

I know it not coming from the rear main seal or valve cover. I hate to think it coming from between the the 2 piece block.

Yeah going to do that an add some dye in there an hit it with a UV light. I had the pan of a couple weeks ago an I noticed the leak near the trans before removal. So when I removed the pan. I looked at the clutch plate as it is partially exposed when pan is removed. There was zero sign of rear main seal failure. I did not double check the pan in that area before reinstalling. So I got another one just in case.

I guess this is one of the few instances in which that can be seen as good news. Congratulations.

Do yourself a favor and go grab a top-mount motor support from Harbor Freight. Makes the transmission removal much easier and you can always sell it afterward.
