I replaced my clutch, r53 mcs, last year and I currently have the engine out so I thought I'd replace the disc and throw out bearing . I called valeo and they only sell the whole kit ? . Has anyone replaced just the disc , if so where did you purchase it

According to the product details, if you have already converter to the single mass flywheel, this is the replacement clutch kit for that conversion.

 

Thanks but that's not the correct kit . The valeo kit I installed is 52151203 . This shows the kits for 52151204 . I call ECS and was told it won't work for 52151203

You now have the engine / transmission out of the car, and you want to replace the clutch plate because, why not. Easier to replace the clutch now, than when it needs to be replaced and do the job all over again. I'm on board with that.

Valeo 52151204 is the clutch plate, pressure plate, bearing replacement for the single mass conversion, from what I am able to research. And, from what I'm seeing on the ECS webpage, 1204 includes everything the 1203 kit includes EXCEPT the flywheel. The ECS site even says it only works with the 1203 conversion kit, ECS part ES#2010305...

Am I missing something?

 

Your absolutly correct except I called ECS and the person I spoke to said it specifically says in his reference material that it won't work with 52151203 . Perhaps he was incorrect so I will call again
