2004 Mini Cooper JCW no power to radiator fan

Hi all,

Really need your help. I am not getting any power to my radiator fan. The AC compressor clutch is also not engaging. I have checked every fuse and relay that I can figure is related to the circuit that I can find. The PS fan is disconnect, but wasn't blowing the 5 amp fuse anyway. I am at a loss of what it could be. All of the forum listings I can find refer to the radiator resistor, the PS fan failing and blowing the 5amp fuse, or the relays. Help! Thanks in advance!

Are you sure it isn't getting power? You can apply 12v and ground to the appropriate pins in the connect to test the fan directly. Does your fan have one or two connectors? If two, there is a relay in the fan resistor housing.

100 percent sure. I put in a new fan. Put power to the oldfan and the new one and they both work. The old one only works on high.

A fan that only works on high is the symptom of a bad resistor (but you probably know that). Maybe a bad temperature sensor? Does the temp gauge in the car register temperature increases as the engine warms up?

No power when i turn the AC on so temp sensor shouldn't affect that right?
