Transmission Fluid Leak at Seam / Auto R53s

I’ve searched this forum hoping to find a thread posted by someone who experienced the same issue. I started noticing small drops of reddish brown brown fluid a while back but couldn’t pinpoint the source. Assumed maybe it was the driver side shaft output seal or the tranny oil cooler o ring but I was wrong. The leak would saturate the funnel feeding the power steering fan which made it harder but i finally figured out the cause after a thorough cleaning and watching it while in neutral on the ramps. The leak seems to be originating from the seam at the tranny block. I’m not sure if there is an internal o-ring there seated in a groove or a permatex gasket. I need to find out if those 2 halves of the tranny are supposed to be in line with each other as one side seems to be off my a 1/16th of an inch.
Curious what might be my best option to fix it. I took pictures to show the leak before the wipe down and then after to determine the origin.
