PS fluid leak?
PS fluid leak?
Hey guys,
I saw a very small blotch of PS fluid on the garage floor. so I went under to check and the pump is covered with possible old leak that someone didn't clean? or a new slow leak, or something else. it was red in color but alot of water mixed with it(it rained today) Couldn't really tell where it was leaking from but my guess would be the hose clamp since there is not too much in the equation. But looking at the surrounding area further I see alot of dark oil? Its hard to describe so I took pictures, I think where I'm getting stuck at is if its a PS pump leak how would it get to so much of the surrounding area? if the clamp is loose/unsat surely I would see it leak when I turned the car on and looked under, but all I hear is the pump(which is somewhat lound, but I've been told its normal).
Thanks!
Also in photo2 is that gap supposed to be there??

Yes the gap on the axle seal is normal
As for the ps fluid leak it could be the low press inlet line. We see the pressure lines leak too.
