Electrical issues please help!!!
So I have a 2013 mini cooper r56. The other day I tried installing a kicker pt250 subwoofer i tapped into the left and right rear speakers and now my turn signals, windows, hazard lights, and those colorful interior lights are not working. Also my doors won't lock they will only unlock. I took the subwoofer out and still not working I put it on a scanner and got a code of p15e8. It still starts up I've checked all fuses inside and out and that's not the issue I have no clue what I did someone please help!!!!
The frm might have been damages SPECIALLY if you had to disconnect the battery. the lock function isnt working perhaps the car thinks the door is open?
if you need the FRM repaired or tested, I can do that. PM me for details if you are in the states.

I remember reading somewhere that disconnecting the battery is not what kills the FRM. Instead, the long term memory holding its firmware may get corrupted with time.
This memory is only read when the FRM boots. After that, the firmware is kept in volatile memory and runs fine as long as the FRM is powered (and irrespective of whether the long term memory gets corrupted in the meantime). However, the next time the FRM is booted (e.g. after disconnecting and re-connecting the battery), the corrupted firmware is read and causes the FRM to malfunction or not to function at all.
@Zhelmick: IIRC, there is an extended warranty for FRMs in the US. You may want to search for more information and whether your car is covered.
