p2885 code: 2007 Mini Cooper s
p2885 code: 2007 Mini Cooper s
I have a 2007 Mini Cooper s that has a reoccurring p2885 code that puts it into limp mode. Once I clear the code it tends to only to come back on once I hit high RPMs like 4,000. I took the mini to the dealership for them to inspect it. They did a smoke test on my hoses and found a leak in the in the pcv hose and Intake tube. They found that my top timing chain guide was broken. My oil filter housing gasket was leaking oil. The fuel filter assembly was cracked and had a slow fuel leak.
I have since replaced the PCV hose, Intake tube, Fuel Filter Assembly, Blow off valve, upper timing chain guide.
Next on my list is to replace the Vacuum lines. I believe oil has gotten on them making them pliable. But are there any other ideas on what this could be caused by?
