VANOS Power Unit Change

Is there a procedure on how this part goes back in? I know there is an allen key in the back. Where is the intermediate camshaft supposed to be when the power unit is inserted?

Are you talking about the solenoid? To replace, just pull the old one out, put the new one in, reconnect the harness, and go.

I think he is talking about the motor in the back right of the head that controls the intermediate shaft.

Correct. I put it in with the U shaped arm in contact with the actuator rod. I saw a video in spanish that I could not understand. I think there should have been a gap of some sort. I have all kind of vanos codes.
