R56 Shut Down When Hot
R56 Shut Down When Hot
Greetings,
R56 manual transmission coupe
225,000km
I believe this is an overheating related issue but I can’t figure it out. After driving in moderately warm conditions (20-25C) my car will shut off when I depress the clutch and let the revs drop. I’m able to start it back up but I have to pedal it to keep it running. There is coolant in the tank, the fan is running and I’m not driving at an RPM higher than 3.5k. No warning lights are showing and seems back to normal after cooling down. Any ideas? I appreciate all the help.

Thank you for the suggestion. I didn’t think to check the hoses. I’ll check that later today. Where can I check the coolant temp? My Mini doesn’t have a gauge like normal cars.
