Airbag light on after wet interior

Left our sunroof open while we got some rain and now the airbag light is on on the instrument panel. We've tried drying the interior out but am wondering

a. Are there connectors under the seats that we should check? See if we can dry them out, put some grease in there and reconnect? I've read that there were connector issues here in the 1st gen cars.

b. Will we have to take the car to a dealer to have the light turned off?

TIA.

Footwell module got wet. You need to dry that unit out and check the connections. Also the fuses. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...solutions.html

Do not unplug the harness under the seats to service! Even if you unplug and replug, it knows! That will throw the airbag error and you’ll need the code cleared by a shop (don’t ask me how I know...)

Just disconnect the negative battery terminal before you unplug the harness and don't reconnect it with it unplugged; it does know. Also, you can buy one of these MyCarly adapters to clear the code and most any code. It does quite a few other things too.
