Today I did a major interior detail on The Clubman, I bought it used a little while back and there was a persistent odor I couldn't get rid of. I suspect the PO had a pet and that pet may have done what pets will do sometimes....
Anyway, vacuumed and shampooed the entire inside: carpet, seats, door panels, you name it. Car now smells clean and looks great.
I let it air dry for good while, started the car and get this message: malfunction on passenger restraint, continue to drive with seat belts, or something like that. Airbag light is now always on.
I had raised the seats as far up as possible to shampoo the carpet underneath but was careful with all the wires. Checked everything, nothing appears disconnected or out of place.
If anyone can help with possible cause and fix, please chime in.
