This pipe sheered off when I was trying to get to my throttle body. Is it for the solenoid? Is it hard to replace? My car sounds like it has a bad vacuum leak right now.
You have to pull the intake box off and yes it’s connected to intake. I blocked mine off and car runs fine. The two plugs are cheaper than the hose, 25 bucks shipped from ECS and yes I do have an OCC on the other side.

I ordered a new one off RockAuto for $20. I was trying to replace my throttle body and just slightly moved the thing and it broke in half.
Reviews are mixed on blocking it off. I decided to replace it with an aftermarket one for about $35. It's relatively simple to change, the airbox and that resonator into the firewall need to be removed and you should have access...

over 3000 trouble free miles. I check my OCC at least once a week or fill up, bit **** but she’s my needy b.
I decided to go non-OEM with the PCV hose, because it was much cheaper. I got the Vaico one. However, when I put it on today, it didn't seem to bend correctly like the OEM version. I had to really force it on the connection to the intake manifold. I did hear it click, but it doesn't seem like a fully flush connection. It was quite difficult to get on. I pulled on it and it wouldn't come off. Do you think this is okay? I'm not throwing any codes anymore and everything seems fine. Idle is good and I don't hear any air leaks.

I would say you are good if cel is off. Drive her around and see.

I took it for a test drive and even did a pull. Everything is still good. I guess I'll just let it be for now. That thing was a nightmare to get on. Thanks for the reply.

no problem,
the nightmare for me was getting it unplugged at throttle body. The plugs I got from ECS just snapped right in and issue free still.

OCC on the other side. I empty it once a week or every fill up, yes bit excessive but I check oil and everything else while I’m there. Makes me sleep better at night and I drive her hard. DIY kit, brass fittings, Teflon tape on threads into OCC, stainless hose clamps all for under $50.
I see a few terms being thrown around a little loosely on this thread. That PCV pipe goes from the back of the valve cover to the throttlebody, not to the intake manifold. If you remove the air cleaner housing and the resonator behind it you have decent access to the connection at the throttlebody without having to remove anything else. It does take a little bit to release it at the throttlebody, but look at the connection at the valve cover to orient yourself to where the two squeeze points are on the locking collar. It's the same at both ends. I was fussing with mine for quite a while before just replacing it so got to a point where I could re and re it in about 5 minutes. I agree if the CEL is not shouting at you, you've got it figured.

I might have to do this at some point. Seems like a really straight forward install just by looking at it. Is the can annoying to get off to empty or fairly easy?

the one I ordered twist off, you will get the hang of it I have this all down to under 5 min job. Just make sure you empty into a container that can handle gas, NO SOLO CUP.
It’s red because it’s eating the cup I keep in here until I have an empty qt of oil, dump it in there and take it to autozone then buy new qt of oil since I’m there.

Huh? The throttle body is on the other side of the lower manifold. I just replaced that today too, because the plate was stuck slightly open. Maybe it all connects to the throttle body somehow? Either way, thanks for the reply. I'll just have to monitor it and see, but I think it's okay. Thing was quite annoying to get on. My OEM hose was bent in a more dramatic angle to fit on easier.
