You had to have a leak somewhere. The pipe is in my basement and I have both holes plugged. She purrs like a cat at idle, and loves to be driven hard.

I Had my pcv blocked off a while back and two things happened. THe engine did not idle well and the catch can collecting from the front of the valve cover filled up every week with this disgusting soup. I have two cans now but not sure how to mount them. No space. Any ideas?

you had a leak somewhere with your block off, that is why it was rough. Watch videos off people seafoaming their engines. You will see it is rough but runs when they pop the pcv tube and pour sea foam in it, then once reconnected it’s fine. As for the “soup” that’s what I’m trying to keep from ending up in by intake valves, and yes I empty it once a week, at least, or at every fill-up, and I check oil while I’m there. I know it’s overkill but I’m driving the wheels off it, and plan on having the car for a long time. There was a 2 can setup that used the area where we are installing our singles.

I did the exact same thing, used the 2 block off plugs to replace a cracked pcv hose... running a carbon fiber catch can. Was shocked the first week to see how much the tank was filling up, but makes total sense now. I empty mine once a week because I'm like you and are constantly fiddling/monitoring my baby. FWIW once i installed a meth injection system .. even with the old pcv hose setup my valve were considerably clean for a car approaching 100k ... but I run my car like it owes me money, but also spend at least 8hrs a week working on / doing maintenance... Thats a sick clubman you got there, I have an R57 thats being featured in a cover story for performance mini magazine ... I think the people who do the block off plugs and get concerned aren't fully aware of how much oil vapor passes across those valves.

I drove it yesterday, from Pigeon Forge to the Tail of the Dragon, then from the tail to Cincinnati. I am amazed how this thing runs and how it seems like it wants to stay at 90+ mph on the highway

and because i can, that is my 13 yr old daughter, training to be a copilot.
