2nd gen purchase after a break
Hi all, glad to be back on this forum. After I totaled my R53 in 2011, I picked up a lovely blue BMW E46 Sport package and drove it to it's A/T death at 170k miles, wrenching on it for all the normal wear and tear. Then bought up a new-to-me 320i that has been... fine. Great commuter, but not quite as fun to drive as my MCS.
Low and behold, my 16 YO took an interest in a MINI and we found a 2009 with 64k. It's a great first car for the new driver.
Last night after shutting it off, it made an noise that seemed to come from inside the rear wheel area as heard from the outside of the vehicle. I describe the sound as a compressor as if it had rear air shocks trying to stay afloat. It stopped after about a minute. Anyone have any suggestions as to what this sound might be?
