P1105 & P1124 Codes, replacing / cleaning sensors and proper reset of engine light
2010 Clubman (N12)
1.Got these two codes, P1105 & P1124
MAF sensor was just replaced 2 months ago.
MAP is still the original.
2. My plan is to replace MAP and then take another friends advice for the MAF. “Unplug the mass air flow sensor. Clean it with contact cleanerUse dielectric grease on the connectors.”
3. I have the FIXD OBD module and it supposedly can clear codes, but my friend says to do this, he had and 09 for a few years.
“Disconnect the battery cables overnight. If that doesn't fix it you will have to clean the connectors for the trans axle. Or look for a short. This is a common problem after the engine gets wet.”
Thoughts on properly resetting the check engine light?
