Hey there! Recently purchased a 2011 JCW from a late friend. I have some questions on a couple things and don't know where to start. First, I have noticed that when I fill up (which has been twice now), the gauge will not read full. I cannot tell if it is actually full as I haven't physically looked or tried to overfill. I thought the second time that it might have been a fluke and correct itself or that I may have done something without realizing. It fills up and leaves two hash marks unlit. I thought that maybe the lights were burnt out. But the third hash mark goes out pretty quickly after fill up. I would say within 20 miles. Then it hovers on the half mark and the one below the half for what seems like forever. So my question is what to check first. I am still fairly new to Mini. I read a similar issue happening on my other vehicle and to check the purge solenoid and its components but have not really read an issue to confirm that for Minis. Or should I start with the fuel sending unit?

The other issue that I have currently is that I threw a P0507. My friend did quite a bit of work to it as far as intake, charge pipes, blow off valve, etc. I have had the car for a month and this is the first it has thrown a code. I drove it yesterday and realized the idle was around 1k which I knew was off. And this morning is when it threw the code. I read the code and cleared it. I am wondering if there is an IAC with these as again, I could not find and confirm there is with a R56. I found a couple posts from the older models but not mine. Any help would be appreciated.
