Exterior Lighting Fault Warning

Hi guys! My Cooper S this morning displayed the yellow exterior light failure warning on the tachometer while I was driving. I scanned the code which is A8B6 fault, and the description is this:

"Left brake light defective, PL3 from 7/14 and SA5A1: daytime running light LED faulty, PL3 from 7/14 and SA896: daytime running light halogen left faulty"

The warning has not come back. I don't think this would change anything but it was rather cold this morning, just above freezing. The car does have HID's. I'm not sure what else you all might need to know, but it is a 2008 car. Please help me out

I forgot to note that the lefthand side marker lights, front and back, are dead.

I'd replace bulbs in side marker lights as a first step. I've had light warnings come and go for no reason, but if you have lights out that is where to look. The codes presented are often all encompassing so you get more info than really applies.
