My mini has not started up for a month while I beat my face with expensive parts to solve mystery malfunction, one day it started running terrible, seemed to be misfire on number 2, changed plugs wires, spark plugs, no help, then it quit starting all together, no spark, so now I changed crank shaft sensor, and new coil, along the way had to change battery to keep on cranking, now I’m thinking ECU issues, so I look at other forums stating you can in fact replace expensive part with salvage used ecu if all numbers match, yes I tried that too, still crank no start, so I got another ecu non matching with key and barrel and bc1 all from same mini, as I’m losing weight in my wallet, my wife is calling me stupid for not just giving it to the neighbor to watch him and see how stupid I look, I have a bmw tec come on his day off to offer up solutions to my car issue, he of course laughs at my progress report, but runs a real diagnostic and said his codes were all together different than auto zones, he said the mystery code that would be my issue was 5e19 and I would search for bad ground with ECU, or anywhere for that matter, so I’m really lost and really capped with budget. Is there anyone out there who can please shed light on this problem that has me whipped in submission, I’m looking at v-8 Chevy transplant as my last stand, but that comes with divorce and loss of respect from any normal person I would come in contact with,
