Left rear turn signal is stuck on

2003 Mini Cooper S
My left rear turn signal is stuck on (orange one). It does not flash - just a steady light. It stays on with everything off.. even with the keys out of the ignition. I tried switching bulbs and it’s the same story. It turns off when I use the right turn signal. Any use of that light gets it stuck on. I’m clueless.

Also, I’ve just noticed water with my battery. Then today, behind the passenger door well. Maybe that’s related.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

Most likely you have sun roof. Do a search on leaking sunroof and general body module that is by the right wall of the passenger (north amerikan) side foot well. Water intrusion that damaged electronic is the likely cause.

I had that problem a couple months ago. I fixed the leak. Would it be causing problems now?

You bet! With a bit of care most can fix it if rectified early. Make sure you disconnect the battery before attempting to remote the BCM as well as reconnecting it.

Can you link me to what I need to do, please. I’m very new to this. And if you have any additional information about my other leaks. Thank you so much

More than likely your BCM got corroded due to the previous sunroof leak.
